Formerly,
the Citizens Clearinghouse for Hazardous Waste, CHEJ was founded
by Lois Gibbs, leader of the Love Canal campaign, in 1981. CHEJ

dealing with a broad range of environmental issues, including toxic
waste, solid waste, air pollution, incinerators, medical waste,
radioactive waste, pesticides, sewage and industrial pollution.

River Watch
Fox
River Watch is a project of the Clean Water Action Council in Green
Bay, Wisconsin, working to ensure that PCB contamination in the
Fox River is cleaned up thoroughly. These contamination wastes were
deposited in the river and nearby Green Bay and are one of the principal
sources of PCBs entering Lake Michigan. Fox River Watch's website
has loads of useful information about the problems
caused by PCBs, about some of the technologies
available to ensure that cleanup is safe and effective, and about
industry's
manipulation of science to avoid their cleanup responsibilities..
